April 06 Messenger 9.0Well, after much thought and deliberation about upgrading to Messenger 9.0 form 8.5, and after chatting with others regrding it, I went ahead and downloaded/upgraded to the newer version. At first, it seems very much like the Beta Version 9 that I loaded on a dew months back, which did not work well at all, and I was thinking that, 'here we go again' I am going to have to try and get back to 8.5. As soon as I started using M9.0, I slowly watched all of my contacts disappear from the list, again this happened to me using Beta 9. However this time, I have been able to put all of my contacts back onto my list, at first was disappearing again but now, they are staying on. Which is very good. I have also noticed that the setup is almost the same as the old version, a little different in some areas. The best thing about it for me personally is that now if I close a message window down when the conversation is over, it does not crash, (touch wood). This makes it a whole lot better for me, because if I have more than one conversation going at the one time and I accidently close one off, I can keep the other going and then if I need to continue with the other again, I can just start it again. Instead of completely losing all conversations at once, shutting messenger down, logging out, and then try to get back online , which sometimes took ages to do. The new messanger I find is a lot better, even though I have not seen its full potential yet.
I would like to thank Mei and Feya for their sound advice in this matter March 15 New MessengerThis time I am not going to complain about Messenger, but any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated. As you know, I have had some trouble with the existing Messenger forever just shutting down on me halfway through a conversation with some very good friends of mine that I have meet through this chat line but not face to face. Now ever time I start up Messenger I am getting a message to say that a newer version of Messenger is ready to install. I am a little reluctant to do this at this point in time due to my experience I had when I upgraded to the Beta Version 9 of Messenger, (which I have be told was a bad idea). What I wold like to know are, is it worth the effort to install it. Has anyone actually installed it yet, is it stable and not likely to crash, is it compatible with additional add-ons like SweetIM or Bandoo. I am still currently on Version 8.5 and undecided whether to install. Any advice or experience with the new Messengr would be appreciated. Thanks.

September 28 Holiday PhotosI will be uploading more photos next month from my trip to Dubai and Singapore, as I have just exceeding the upload limit amount, which I was not aware there was one. I have added 855 photos this month. Uploaded a few more than that, and had to delete them because doubled or severely out of focus or to dark and couldn't see anything. So I think 1000 photos may be the limit that you can upload in one month. I will see what happens in October as I still have few 100 photos to go. You are quiet welcome to view them all so I hope that you all enjoy them as much as I did in taking them September 17 Back from HolidaysWell, I'm back from 8 days in Dubai and 3 in Singapore, 100's of photos to upload over the next few day, keep an look out for them August 31 Holidays In five days time, we leave for our long awaited trip. Peter (getting old) Banana DietAt the start of July we got a new set of weighing scales just to keep an eye on our weight as we want to lose a little, this particular set of scales measures weight, body fat %, body water %, muscle mass and bone mass. The scales seems accurate enough. The first day we used them I checked my weight and it read 84.5kg
August 02 Hit CounterJust successfully uploaded the Page Hit Counter, but couldn't set a starting number, so therefore it automatically gave me a starting figure of 00001, which for all of you people how have visited my site knows that number is not true. I tried to upload different themed counters from an external web page, which allows you to edit the starting number but got I have no idea how to actually bring it into the blog page. If anyone does know, please tell me so I can get the right number up on the page. July 19 What to do?Not much to talk about this time. Been having quiet a few late nights watching the Tour de France. I would like to eventually get back onto a bike, but alas I have to get my old bike fixed or get a new bike altogether. The second option is actually the better one for me at the moment as the old bike is very heavy, (compaired with today bikes), but it is all going to cost a bit more than what I can afford at the point in time, the cheaper option is to get the old bike fixed up, but if I want to be able to keep up with other people, I'll only the latest and the best, Mind you, I will never be able to go as fast as the riders in the Tour de France go. July 08 Astronomy PicturesIf you like Astronomy and looking at the stars, then you should check out this site, called 'Astronomy Picture of the Day', (APOD). this site has 100's of cosmic photographs of the solar system, stars, galaxies, and space. Very interesting with a description of the photograph to explain exactly what you are looking at.
Good for all amateur astronomers.
July 05 Krispy KremeKrispy Kreme Donut luanched its grand opening today at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast. we had to go down to check it out. The bloody queue when we got there was quite long so we did what we had to do there and went back hoping the queue had decreased a little, it wasn't to be. We decided to stand in line and time how long it ould until we actually got to the counter as te line seemed to e moving at a steady rate. Well, 50 minutes later we got there. ordered a six pack of assorted donut and went on our way. Still the time seemed to go quickly (maybe, I just getting older). Delicious June 24 SydneyWhat a weekend in Sydney it was, excellent weather, (even though a bit cooler) but enjoyed it thoroughly. Sun was shining for the most of the time we was there, just some light cloud that dropped the temperature a couple of degrees when the sun went behind it. I am starting to pay for it now as did a lot of walking around the City and to and from place in the city, I think must have walked 10 - 15 kilometres in total, don't normally do that much exercise. The back of my legs was hurting on Monday as I was not use to all the extra movement I did. But it is a good hurting feeling, so I am happy to do it. I had actually forgotten as to how close everything was to each other. On the map, Circular Quay seem to be a lot further from Darling Harbour than it actually was. I thought it would take about 30 minutes to walk it, but it seemed like only 10. Cheated a bit a took a bus down Oxford Street to Paddington, as was running out of time on Sunday, shops Facades on Oxford Street look all the same, (old style buildings), but still looks up-to-date on the inside, as you expect. I normally only glance at what is in them, and don't take much to forget what it was when I get to the next shop. Hey, I'm a man. Food was great, had a Chinese meal on Sunday, only $8 and it was huge, I could barely finish it as I was still getting over my 5 course cake feast the day before, but I managed to. June 22 Sydney TripGreat trip back from Sydney, great eather, a bit cool but OK, Visited The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Centrepoint Tower, Opera House, Paddington, Circular Quay June 16 Forthcoming TripLooking forward to the weekend already, even it is only Monday, having a quick trip to Sydney just for Saturday and Sunday, its been a while since I was there, hope the weather good, don,t want to be rained out June 09 Wintersun 2008Sunday, 08/06/08 went to the 2008 Wintersun Festival at Coolangatta for the second year running. Definitely picked the best day of the long weekend to go to it, as the weather was crap on Saturday and Monday. Only spend about an hour there but getting to the place seem to be longer with all the traffic around the area and parking was a nightmare but I knew it would be. Would like to have been there longer, but wasn't able to. Seen a lot of great looking street machines and a few bikes, reckonized some cars that I actually took photos from last year, but not realising it until I checked the other photos. So much work is put into all he cars and bikes, checked out the markets while we was there, (not to interested in that). Sci-Fi, Comedies, Horror (not in any particalur order)
